Summer 2010

Our team in Ouje Bougoumou ran camps for six weeks this past summer of 2010. There was a great facility for us to use for indoor activities as well as an indoor pool. We set a new record for the number of kids in the pool at one time! But recognise that the previous record was only around 25.

One of the touching moments there was being brought to a site where there was a makeshift cross set up in memory of a young girl who had gone out one night to sniff propane and it turned tragic for her and she lost her life. The cross is set up where they found her. This young teen had given her life to Jesus but one moment of bad decision took her down a path no one had planned for.

It is our reason for bringing further hope and promise to these youth. And to show them love in the name of Jesus!
